Management of Thrombosis in the Cancer Patient

Upon viewing this session, you will be able to determine the epidemiologic and pathophysiologic underpinnings of cancer-related thrombosis, assess the performance of the Khorana score in predicting the 6-month risk of VTE and analyze the efficacy and safety of LMWH among cancer patients with a "high-risk" score, summarize the evidence for LMWH and DOACS in treatment of venous thromboembolism in cancer patients, and describe specific challenging scenarios in the management of cancer-associated thrombosis.
